- Hi, I have a Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard Edition and Workstations running Windows 8.1. I want group policy to deploy a bat file to RunOnce through Registry and only the first time the user logs on.

Scenario: Management wants OneDrive uninstalled for new users as they log into machines for the first time. They want users to be able to install and use OneDrive if they decide they want to, so Group Policy is not an option. I put together a PS Script to uninstall and remove references from Explorer, but struggling with new methods to create a RunOnce in Win 10 v1703 registry. Do I just go to the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREWow6432NodeMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionRunOnce and place an entry there, so each user runs once? Do I create a Hive under USERS? If I do, the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREWow6432NodeMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionRunOnce does not show up. How are you guys handling RunOnce scenarios for new users in Win 10 v1703? Thanks!

Where is the RunServicesOnce registry key. I have an application that updates software on the local machine. I need the software to be updated prior to user log on. Start Program before User Logon Windows 7. Ap biology lab manual. If you want it to start before the user logs on, you will have to start it as a service.
